Lovely vintage set of weighted and felted chess pieces by Lardy, an important french chess pieces manufacturer in the 1900s.

The King is 75cm tall. The pieces are varnished but this has mellowed with age; more noticeably on the black pieces.

Presented in a lovely solid wooden box (not original)
