Antique c1850 English Games folding chessboard and backgammon game board

c1850 An English folding wood and leather chessboard and backgammon games box designed to look like a two volume book folio. Marked English Games Vol 1 and Vol 2. The chessboard squares and backgammon points are red and tan leather and are outlined in gold leaf. There is some damage to the leather both inside and outside and a gap between the spine and one side of the chess board (not hanging off).

The original leather dice holder is also includes but no chess or backgammon pieces.

The game box measures 17" x 14.25" and is 2.5" in depth
