Antique wooden staunton style chess pieces with distinctive dogfaced knights.
Mid century boxwood and dyed boxwood chess pieces which are pleasingly chunky to handle.
The darker pieces have a rich patina from years of use - many of them show signs of wear that you would expect from a set of this age.
The pieces have felt green bases although one pawn is missing its base.
Comes in a matching felt lined wooden box which closes fully but is missing part of its clasp.
