Connemara marble chess set

This chess set is made by Connemara Marble. Their quarry was originally opened in the 1820’s and is the oldest working marble quarry – marble from this historic site has been used in some of the world’s finest buildings, and today you can still find the most beautiful of marble that has lain hidden in the ground for over 900 million years.

These pieces are a stylish, modern take on the traditional staunton design The King is 7" cm tall and 2" thick.
