St George was a popular pre staunton style that was common in the early 1900s and before. The style was designed for the St George Club in London in 1940.
This set is from the early 20th century and the pieces have age related wear and one pawn has a crack in the base. The boxwood and ebony set is presented in a mahogany box which has an attached key.
The King is 3.75" tall.
