Made by the French maker, Lardy this set of 32 chessmen are highly polished natural boxwood on one side and ebonised boxwood on the other. The pieces have green felt bases. Lardy made chess sets from 1890 throughout the 20th century.

All pieces are original> One white pawn has a crack in the base but otherwise the pieces are in great condition for their age

King is 9.5cm tall
