This is a FIDE officially approved set for use in World championship events. The pieces are designed by Daniel Weil of Pentagram, drawing inspiration from classical Greek architecture and the Staunton design.
The pieces are in the original box (which is scuffed around the edges). The pieces themselves are made of boxwood and in excellent, virtually unplayed with condition. All of the pieces are held separately by the foam inlay and the set includes an extra queen .
The King is 3.75 inches and the pawns are 1.14 inches.
