This is a rare 2006 Plastoy Asterix chess set. The PVC pieces are substantial and weighted and are based on the 1959 comic book series Asterix and Obelix. One side is Asterix, Obelix and all of their fellow Gaulois villagers and the other side is the Roman Emperor and his army.

Each of the pieces has a stamp on the bottom showing which piece it represents on the chess board.

The box is showing its age however the pieces and the board are in excellent condition.
